Vale: Michelle Halliwell
The QRHA committee and members express their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Michelle who passed away after a brave battle with cancer.
A long time and passionate supporter of Reining, Michelle was diagnosed with cancer only two months prior to the 2009 Australian Affiliate Championships. Although she was undergoing chemotherapy, Michelle was determined to compete at the championships. She not only competed, but bested one of the largest classes at the show to take the 2009 Australian Affiliate Limited Non Pro Championship title on her mare, OP Finally Dunit.
QRHA Wins Australian Affiliate Teams Challenge!
Congratulations to all members who competed at the 2009 Reining Australia Nationals in Tamworth, 5-8 August 2009. Thanks to our top 20 riders and horses that qualified for the Continental Championships and helped QRHA win the Affiliate Challenge!
Congratulations to QRHA Trainer, Wayne Williams and his talented stallion Get'n Lena (below) for taking first place in the hotly contested Reining Australia/Continental Affiliate Open Championship.

QRHA 2009 State Championship Show
Congratulations to 2009 QRHA State Champions and competitors who contested the club's 17th Annual State Show from 11 to 13 June at Gatton.
